Donna works with youth (5+) and adults experiencing difficulties related to trauma, anxiety, substance use, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and general life stressors.
Donna is a Registered Social Worker and graduate of the University of Windsor (Master of Social Work) and University of Guelph (Master of Science in Family and Social Relations, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology).
She has enjoyed a long career working with youth, adults, couples, and families experiencing life challenges. Donna has provided extensive support to Youth Justice through the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services; assisted couples and families navigate difficult life transitions.
Donna’s approaches are trauma-informed and strength-bases. Interventions include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Along with a BSW and MSW in social work, Donna is currently pursuing a PhD in Thanatology which she plans on using to support individuals from a spiritual perspective. In her spare time she enjoys being with family and celebrating her nieces and nephews milestones.

Jennifer is a bilingual (French/English) registered social worker helping individuals, couples and families navigate life challenges within a safe and supportive environment.
Jennifer provides individual, couple and family counselling for youth, adults and seniors experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem resulting from life experiences (abuse, grief/loss, divorce, bullying etc.).
Jennifer uses trauma informed approaches while using evidence-based interventions (CBT, ACT, EFT, SFBT, Narrative and Play Therapy for improving emotional and physical well-being.

Kathleen’s been practicing social work for over 25 years with experience in training and supervising social work interns.
Kathleen expertly supports youth and adult with their mental health (anxiety, depression, anger etc..); relationships, grief, substance use, family dynamics, life transitions. Kathleen helps individuals build upon their existing skills to help strengthen a more authentic connection with themselves and others.
Kathleen is a trauma informed practitioner integrating different therapy modalities (CBT, ACT, EFT, Relational) based on my clients’ unique needs. I work collaboratively in the counselling relationship to provide a safe and supportive atmosphere and that encourages growth within and outside the counselling setting.

As a Social Worker, individual, and parent, Sara values compassion and collaboration. She works from both a trauma-informed and attachment lens. She practices a client-centered approach to address the diverse needs of the individual.
Sara is a Master of Social Work, with extensive experience working with youth who are experiencing complex mental health (anxiety, depression, PTSD, etc.), families in conflict, and developmental trauma.
She understands that during adolescence, many things can and will change, which can leave a young person feeling overwhelmed, not heard, and/or struggling to embrace a new identity amongst other difficulties.
Sara is very intentional in creating a space that is safe and comfortable using both person and family centered approaches and interventions (DBT, CBT, SFBT, IFS) to restored balance and improve well-being.

Jess is a registered social worker collaborating with individuals, families, and couples to meet their goals. Jess is trained in Attachment-based modalities, using mindfulness, ACT, strengths-based approaches, to create a relational and collaborative plan to help you meet your goals. Jess is experienced in gender-based violence, helping people heal from trauma they may have experienced within relationships through a trauma-informed, holistic perspective.
Jess positively supports individuals of all ages with their emotional well-being, relationships, grief, family dynamics and parenting, and life transitions.
Jess offers neurodivergent affirming care within the counselling setting, helping to create a safer space for individuals to express themselves.

Emilia has over 20 years of experience supporting individuals and families across diverse settings, including hospital-based inpatient and outpatient programs, community and residential mental health agencies, and youth justice facilities.
She has experience supporting individuals navigating a broad range of challenges, including complex mental health concerns, psychosocial stressors, life transitions, and adjustment difficulties (e.g., grief and loss, burnout, relationship challenges, and chronic or life-limiting illness). This includes supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and post-traumatic stress, as well as behavioural concerns such as addictions, anger management, and suicidal ideation.
Emilia finds it rewarding to support individuals across the lifespan. She draws on a range of evidence-informed therapeutic modalities based on each client's needs, goals, and presenting concerns, including Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gottman Method for couples, Family Systems approaches, and mindfulness-based practices. In her work with children, she often integrates play- and art-based strategies, using expressive and developmentally appropriate techniques. She provides services in both English and Polish.

Cassidy holds a master’s degree in Christian Counselling and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social Science. With a strong foundation in both emotional well-being and spiritual care, she is dedicated to supporting individuals through life’s challenges and transitions. Her experience includes working with clients facing trauma, stress, grief, anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties.
Cassidy’s counselling approach is rooted in empathy, practical insight, and a biblical worldview. She thoughtfully integrates spiritual and faith-based principles into her practice when appropriate and welcomed by the client, creating a safe and respectful environment to explore both personal and spiritual dimensions of growth and healing. While her work is informed by Christian values, she provides counselling to individuals from diverse backgrounds and belief systems, ensuring that her approach aligns with each client’s unique needs, values, and goals.
Through her warm and professional presence, Cassidy fosters a supportive environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to pursue meaningful change and personal growth.

With 28 years of experience in education, I have spent my career supporting children and families as they navigate the complexities of the education system and the challenges that impact mental well-being. My work has always centered around helping children, youth, and families find support they need both within school communities and beyond.
I bring a trauma informed lens to my practice, drawing from decades of experience understanding how emotional, behavioural, and systemic factors intersect in peoples’ lives. I work primarily through Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to support clients in exploring their stories, building strategies, and deepening emotional awareness.
I work with individuals, families, and groups with a particular passion for working with youth. My goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and empowering space where clients can feel seen, heard, and supported as they navigate life’s challenges and develop tools to thrive.

I hold a diploma in Social Service Work and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, with experience supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, addictions, mental health challenges, and youth-related concerns. I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their healing journey.
When working with children and youth, I incorporate age-appropriate play therapy and art therapy modalities to help clients express themselves, build coping skills, and process emotions in creative and meaningful ways. My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and client-centered, recognizing each person’s unique experiences, resilience, and goals.
I draw from Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Strengths-Based approaches to support clients in navigating life’s challenges, building confidence, and creating positive change. I strive to provide compassionate and collaborative support tailored to each individual’s needs.

Dyan is a student at Yorkville University completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences and is currently doing an internship with Elgin Counselling and Mediation Centre. She has experience working with children, teens, adults and families navigating difficult life challenges.
Dyan provides individual counselling for teens and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and stress using a trauma-informed lens. She is passionate about helping people in the community and providing a safe, inclusive, and judgement-free space.

Emma is in her second year at Yorkville University, completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Developmental Psychology degree and is currently doing her practicum placement at Elgin Counselling & Mediation Centre. Emma finds it rewarding to support individuals and their needs. She fosters a supportive environment where clients can feel heard, accepted, and valued.

Cacee is recognized as an accredited Family Law mediator, a child protection mediator (AccFM, CPMed), and a qualified mediator by both the Ontario Association of Family Mediators, and the Alternate Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario. Cacee is also a member of Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario (FDRIO). Cacee is a mediator on both the Roster of the Mediation Centre of Ontario London and Middlesex division, and Mediation North. Cacee has dedicated her education and career to helping families through challenging times with empathy, professionalism and a commitment to finding solutions.

Jack offers specialized support to assist with improving comfort, creating a safe environment, and he allows for calming meditation practices.
He exudes a joy and happiness when given treats contributing to increasing positive energy.
He helps to take down barriers when things are difficult to talk about with the comfort that he offers.
His relaxed nature may be beneficial to augment any counselling session.
Jack is available by request, though ultimately, he is a cat so he will exert his prerogative. He has an empathetic nature by which he tends to decide which clients require his attention.

Nancy Farr is a dedicated Office Administrator renowned for her organizational skills, her ability to multi-task, her compassion, and unwavering love of cats. She has an eclectic array or work/life experiences, which have a direct influence on her abilities in this role. She has decades of experience in both the service and administrative field, and her strong compassion for people and positive life approach tends to a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Nancy studied English and Philosophy in University, and has work experience in esthetics, education, management, office management, and bookkeeping. Though seemingly unrelated, aspects from each of these areas have molded Nancy into an efficient, well rounded, and unique office administrator for Elgin Counselling & Mediation Centre.
In addition to her technical skills and emotional intelligence, Nancy is a nice person.
Outside of her administrative duties, Nancy is passionate about her homelife, and her 2 cats, Jack and Bailey. She believes in the importance of personal happiness and life fulfillment.
